Ontario invests $37M to expand Autism services, nearly $400K coming to Niagara’s Bethesda

The Ontario government is committing more than $37 million over the next two years to expand autism services across the province - including locally.

As part of this funding, Bethesda Community Services in Niagara will receive $399,530 to strengthen its clinical team and expand access to Applied Behaviour Analysis services.

The support comes through the Ontario Autism Program’s Workforce Capacity Fund, which helps providers hire staff, increase hours, and extend services into rural and remote areas.

Overall, the initiative is part of Ontario’s broader $779 million commitment to ensuring more children and youth with autism can access timely, local care. Since the fund was created in 2021, the government says more than 250 grants have been given across the province.
