One man hospitalized, another arrested after downtown St. Catharines assault

An unprovoked attack has landed one man in hospital and another in handcuffs. 

Niagara Regional Police say around 9:00pm yesterday a man was attacked near Court Street and St. Paul Street in downtown St. Catharines. 

The victim was brought to an out-of-region hospital, while 37-year-old Troy Wilson was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault, disguise with intent and possession of a dangerous weapon. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
