The Ontario Hockey League is stepping in to take a bigger role with the Niagara IceDogs both on and off the ice.
The league says the move is aimed at bringing stability to the franchise and setting the club up for long-term success in Niagara’s strong hockey market.
OHL Senior Director of League Development Jason Diplock will oversee the team’s business and front office operations, while veteran hockey executive Dale DeGray has been named the club’s new general manager and will handle hockey operations.
The OHL says its focus is on building a competitive, community-focused franchise that IceDogs fans can be proud to support.
