Four bridges along the Welland Canal will temporarily close this week.
Monday, the Glendale Avenue Bridge and Lakeshore Road bridges will be closed starting at 9:00am until late this afternoon.
The Lakeshore Road Bridge is also expected to be closed tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday, while the Mellanby Avenue Bridge will be closed Thursday and Friday, and the Carlton Street Bridge will be unavailable Friday and Saturday.
St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation says the closure impacts both vehicles and pedestrians.
This comes ahead of the canal’s expected opening on March 22.
