NRPS warning of bank fraud after phonecall leads to suspect driving off with credit cards

Niagara Regional Police are warning the public after a fraud incident in Pelham involving a fake bank call.

Officers say a resident was contacted by someone claiming their credit cards had been compromised and that a courier would pick them up.

A man later arrived at the home, collected the cards and left in a white SUV.

The victim later realized it was a scam and contacted police.

The suspect is described as a Black male with dreadlocks, wearing dark clothing and a face covering.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact police.
