A year later, an animal cruelty investigation involving several horses in Welland remains unsolved.
The incident happened overnight July 30th to 31st, 2025, at a boarding farm near Buchner Road and Highway 140.
Eight horses suffered injuries consistent with cuts or stab wounds, one horse died and another had to be rushed to an out-of-town veterinary hospital.
NRPS detectives are renewing their appeal for information as they continue to investigate.
