800 electronic devices seized
A province-wide police operation targeting online child exploitation has led to 63 arrests and more than 200 charges.
The Provincial Internet Child Exploitation Strategy, which includes Niagara Regional Police and 25 other police services, identified 51 victims and seized more than 800 electronic devices.
Investigators say Project Time focused on people involved in creating, possessing and sharing child sexual abuse material.
Police say protecting children online requires more than enforcement, and are reminding parents, educators and the public to remain vigilant and report any suspected exploitation.
