NRPS homicide unit investigating sudden death in St. Catharines

The Niagara Regional Police's homicide unit is investigating a sudden death in St. Catharines.

Friday afternoon, police were called to a home near Lakeshore Road and Lake Street, and upon arrival, found two people without vital signs. 

One of them, an adult woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a man was brought to hospital and treated for his injuries, which are expected to be non-life-threatening. 

40-year-old Joshua St. Omer of St Catharines was arrested and charged with second degree murder.
