Review of surveillance footage led to suspension of investigation
An investigation into an alleged stranger sexual assault involving a child at a Niagara Falls daycare has been suspended.
Detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Child Abuse Unit say an extensive review of surveillance video determined the allegation was unfounded.
Police thanked the public for its patience during the investigation.
Anyone with information related to the incident is still asked to contact Niagara Regional Police or Crime Stoppers of Niagara.
