The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority has joined forces with PaRx, Canada’s first national nature prescription program, to offer free access to local conservation areas for those prescribed time in nature.
Through this partnership, patients with mental or physical health challenges who receive a PaRx prescription will be eligible for five free visits to NPCA sites where parking fees apply, including Ball’s Falls, Binbrook, Chippawa Creek, and Long Beach.
Currently, over 18,000 healthcare professionals across Canada are prescribing time in nature.
