The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is marking an important milestone for Niagara Shores Park, a long-valued public green space along the lakeshore.
Following three years of collaboration, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority has approved a Licence of Occupation Agreement with Parks Canada, allowing NPCA to support the care, planning, and stewardship of the 14-hectare park.
The agreement enables work to protect the park’s natural and cultural features while supporting public recreational and educational use.
NPCA, Parks Canada, and the Town will continue working together on future improvements, guided by a high-level work plan and community input.
