Local experts are watching water levels closely after more rain over the weekend.
The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority issued a Flood Outlook Saturday, warning of the potential for more flooding across the Niagara Peninsula, southeastern Hamilton and eastern Haldimand County.
The NPCA says 40 to 60 millimetres of rain was possible through Monday, with locally higher amounts from thunderstorms, which could cause rapid rises in water levels and localized flooding.
The outlook remains in effect until 9 a.m. Tuesday, with residents urged to stay away from creeks and rivers as conditions could change quickly.
