Niagara-on-the-Lake will host its annual Sports Wall of Fame Ceremony on Friday, August 22 at the Meridian Credit Union Arena in Virgil, celebrating local legends who’ve made lasting impacts on the community’s sports scene.
This year’s inductees include the late Mike Kappel, a celebrated rower and four-time Canadian wrestling representative, and David Mines, a lifelong local who has spent more than 40 years fostering hockey and lacrosse in the town.
The public is invited to attend the evening of recognition.
Food and drinks will be served starting at 5 p.m., followed by the ceremony at 6 p.m. No registration is required.
