The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake marked a step forward over the weekend with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the installation of StopGap ramps at local businesses.
During the event, officials also announced applications are now open once again for the StopGap Ramp Program.
Eligible businesses in Niagara-on-the-Lake can apply online, with a limited number of ramps available on a first-come, first-served basis at no cost.
The program provides lightweight, portable ramps designed to help eliminate single-step barriers at storefronts, making it easier for people with mobility challenges to access shops and services.
Applications will be accepted until April 30th.
