The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is responding to unauthorized work at a designated heritage property on Niagara River Parkway.
The work, involving a schoolhouse structure at 14785 Niagara River Parkway, was reported April 16.
Town staff attended the site and continue to monitor the situation.
A Stop Work Order has been issued under the Building Code Act, and the owner has been told to obtain proper approvals before continuing.
The Town says further enforcement could follow if compliance is not met.
