It's a big day as we start to work our way towards municipal elections across the province, coming up in late October.
Today's the start of the nomination process, where people announce their intentions to run in the election, be it for Mayor, Deputy Mayor, a council seat or a seat on a school board.
Nomination papers must be filed in person at the municipal office by August 21st at 2pm.
