Noah-body Outscores Read

St Catharines own Noah Read scored twice leading the IceDogs to a 6-3 victory over the Soo Greyhounds at the Meridian Centre. Ivan Galiyanov added a goal and an assist in the win.

Down 1-0 in the first, Riley Patterson buried an in close deke for this 25th of the season. Charlie Robertson made his best safe of the night foiling a short handed breakaway late in the period.

In the second, Krys Barch's side scored three straight. Galiyanov ripped the monkey off his back scoring his second of the campaign at 3:19. Read's first of two came at 6:02 and Hayden Reid struck for his 9th at 8:27. Less than two minutes later, the Greyhounds got one closer, making it 4-2 after 40 minutes.

The OHL's reigning player of the week, Ryerson Edgar sniped home his 15th just past the mid-way mark in the third. A power-play goal cut the lead to 5-3, before Read's second of the game into the empty net made it a 6-3 final.

The IceDogs third consecutive win puts them into a tie for 5th in the OHL's Eastern Conference. Oshawa is the next destination on a Friday night. New Country 89.1 will have the pre-game beginning at 6:45.
