Niagara Public Health is reminding residents to make respiratory illness prevention part of their fall routine, with flu already being reported in the region.

Flu, COVID-19 and RSV can cause serious illness, especially for babies, older adults and people with underlying health conditions.

Free flu shots and updated COVID-19 vaccines will be available to the public later this month, with earlier access for some high-risk groups.

RSV protection is also available for eligible babies, pregnant people and older adults.

Public Health is also reminding residents to wash their hands, cover coughs and sneezes, improve indoor ventilation and stay home when sick.
