Niagara Region hopes to work with province for safer roads after speed camera removal

Niagara Region’s Director of Transportation Services, Frank Tassone, has responded to the Province’s recent decision on the Automated Speed Enforcement program.

Tassone says the Region has a process in place to deactivate the program and will continue working with the Province to ensure roads remain safe.

He emphasized that Niagara’s road safety strategy will continue to focus on reducing collisions and preventing fatalities, keeping motorists and pedestrians safe across the region.

Tassone adds that the Region looks forward to ongoing collaboration with the Province to maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable road network.
