It’s National Public Works Week, and Niagara Region is recognizing the staff who help keep the region running every day.
From maintaining roads and bridges to delivering clean drinking water and waste collection services, officials say Public Works plays a major role in daily life across Niagara.
The Region manages more than 800 kilometres of roads along with billions of dollars in infrastructure.
This year’s theme is “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community.”
