The Niagara Parks Commission is highlighting several projects and initiatives happening along the Niagara River corridor.
Officials say environmental work continues to be a priority, with wetland restoration, habitat protection and more than 7000 trees expected to be planted in 2025. Improvements are also being made to trails and visitor areas, including Dufferin Islands.
Niagara Parks also says road resurfacing along the Niagara Parkway, new washrooms near the Falls, and upgrades to parking and pedestrian spaces in Queen Victoria Park are either finished or in the works to improve traffic flow and the visitor experience.
