Officers responded on June 12 and shut down area roads
A Niagara-on-the-Lake man has received a conditional discharge following a police investigation into reports of gunfire.
Niagara Regional Police responded on June 12th and closed roads in the area while investigating. 62-year-old Edgar G. Lefebvre was later arrested and faced several firearm-related charges.
He was originally charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and reckless discharge of a firearm.
On June 2nd, 2026, the Crown withdrew two of the charges, while the remaining careless-storage charge was resolved with a conditional discharge.
