Niagara Health upgrading CT scanners at three hospitals

Scanners are first of their kind in Canada

Niagara Health is upgrading its CT scanners with the most advanced technology available in Canada, making it the first hospital in the country to do so.

The new scanners—set to be installed at the Marotta Family, Niagara Falls, and Welland hospitals—will offer faster scans, clearer images, lower radiation, and a better patient experience.

Installation begins this month and will roll out in phases. During the transition, patient access to imaging will be prioritized, especially for urgent cases.

Niagara Health thanks the community and donors to the Niagara Health Foundation for their support in making this major advancement possible.
