Niagara Health is being recognized for its work helping save and improve lives through organ and tissue donation.
The organization has received two provincial awards from Trillium Gift of Life Network, including a Hospital Achievement Award presented to just 48 hospitals across Ontario.
In 2025-26, Niagara Health supported 16 organ donors, resulting in 47 organs being transplanted and 42 lives saved.
Another 83 tissue donors helped improve the lives of countless others.
About 1,400 people in Ontario are waiting for an organ transplant, with thousands more needing tissue donations.
