The Niagara Greenhouse Growers held their first Annual General Meeting in St. Catharines, bringing growers and industry partners together to celebrate the launch of a unified regional voice for the sector.
The AGM caps more than a year of work to form a committee representing greenhouse operators across Niagara’s 12 municipalities.
The idea began with Lincoln growers who saw rising challenges at the municipal level and pushed for a coordinated approach.
Over the past 18 months, the NGG has partnered with Flowers Canada to build a long-term governance model.
As a specialized committee within FCO, it will focus on member networking, policy advocacy, and promoting Niagara’s greenhouse industry.
