Niagara Falls prepared to welcome wildfire evacuees

City encouraging donations to Canadian Red Cross as well

In response to wildfires displacing families in Manitoba and northern Ontario, Niagara Falls is preparing to welcome evacuees and is calling on the community to help.

The City said in a release yesterday that it is prepared to bring in hundreds, if not thousands, of evacuees.

Monetary donations to the Canadian Red Cross will go toward shelter, food, and essential supplies.

Residents interested in donating items should contact the Red Cross directly for guidance.

Visit the city's website to learn how you can assist.
