The City of Niagara Falls has launched the development of its Unhoused Action Plan 2026, a new strategy aimed at improving support for unhoused and vulnerable residents.
The City is encouraging residents to share feedback to help guide the plan’s priorities and direction.
Council endorsed a motion calling for a more coordinated approach to issues such as homelessness, hunger, public drug use, and disruptive behaviour in public spaces.
Currently, efforts focus largely on cleanup, maintenance, and public safety. The new Action Plan will take a broader, mission-driven approach to align resources and improve outcomes.
