The Niagara Falls Fire Department is welcoming a familiar face in Ontario fire services to its leadership team.
Starting June 29th, Ed Melanson will take on the role of Deputy Fire Chief of Community Risk Reduction, bringing more than two decades of experience in emergency services.
Melanson most recently served as Director of Fire Services for Saugeen Shores and previously spent years with Fort Erie Fire and Emergency Services, including five years as Fire Chief.
City officials say his experience in emergency management, firefighter training and strategic planning will be a valuable addition to the Niagara Falls Fire Department.
