Niagara District Airport pleased with latest Ontario Budget

New budget includes enhanced air access to Niagara

The Niagara District Airport is pleased to see enhanced air access to Niagara recognized as a priority in the Ontario 2025 Budget.

As the airport approaches its centennial milestone in 2029, the Niagara District Airport Commission—comprised of the City of St. Catharines, City of Niagara Falls, and Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake—continues to oversee NDA’s critical role in the region’s transportation network.

While NDA remains a key hub for the movement of goods, services, and people, officials acknowledge that significant infrastructure growth is necessary to meet the demands of Niagara’s 500,000 residents and a thriving 13-million-visitor tourism sector.

The Niagara District Airport extends its appreciation to Premier Doug Ford, Transportation Minister Prabmeet Singh Sarkaria, Tourism, Culture and Gaming Minister Stan Cho, and Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy for their support and recognition of the importance of air connectivity in strengthening the region’s future.
