The Niagara District Airport is celebrating nearly a century of aviation history in the region.
The airport officially opened in September 1929 and moved to its current location in 1935, becoming home to generations of pilots, businesses and aviation enthusiasts.
The airport also played an important role during the Second World War, training more than 2,000 pilots between 1940 and 1944.
Today, it supports everything from Air Canada Landline service and scenic tours to private charters and pilot training.
