New dental clinic will serve 3000 patients a year
Niagara College's new Health Education building has received a $100,000 boost from the Niagara Community Foundation.
The funding will help expand the College's dental teaching and community care clinic at the Welland Campus.
When the new facility opens in 2027, enrollment in the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs will double, while the clinic will be able to provide low-cost dental care to 3,000 patients a year, up from 1,500 today.
The donation will fully equip one of the clinic's new dental operatories, helping train future dental professionals while improving access to affordable care across Niagara.
