Niagara Community Foundation has nearly tripled its investment in environmental initiatives over the past four years, awarding more than $280,000 in grants for 2026.
The Environmental Grants program supported 15 projects across Niagara this year.
The boost follows a $5 million gift from the Dorothea Thomas Foundation in 2021, helping expand the program from under $100,000 annually to nearly $300,000.
Applications for Niagara Community Foundation’s David S. Howes Grants are open until March 30. Upcoming deadlines include Summer Camp Grants on April 13, Mini Grants on July 13, and Community Grants closing October 5.
