An award show for the province's wine industry is coming to Niagara.
George Brown Polytechnic will partner with Niagara College to co-host the Ontario Wine Awards, with the two institutions sharing duties on a rotating basis, alternating annually beginning with George Brown in Toronto for 2026, followed by Niagara College in 2027.
The show recognizes the best of Ontario Vintners Quality Alliance wines, culminating in the Lieutenant Governor's Award for Excellence in Ontario Wines.
Niagara College president Sean Kennedy says it's a unique opportunity for students to celebrate and learn from the current leaders and innovators in the wine sector.
