Niagara College postpones fall convocation amidst support staff strike

Niagara College has postponed its fall convocation ceremonies amidst a support staff strike.

The strike, which includes more than 8000 support staff workers across Ontario, started on September 11th when workers walked off the job.

The convocation ceremonies, originally scheduled for October 23rd and 24th, has been postponed, while a new date has not yet been named.

Mediation efforts between OPSEU and the College Employer Council began last week, but reportedly collapsed.
