Niagara Children’s Water Festival kicks off today

Annual festival helps educate Grade 4 students across Niagara

Niagara Region, alongside partners Brock University, the City of St. Catharines, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, and Ontario Power Generation, is proud to host the 22nd annual Niagara Children’s Water Festival.

From April 29 to May 2, the event offers Grade 4 students across Niagara a chance to explore the vital role of water through 30 interactive, hands-on activity centres.

Organized by local conservation and education groups, the festival focuses on key areas like water conservation, protection, science, technology, and fostering positive attitudes toward water stewardship.

Around 1,500 parents, teachers, and volunteers are also expected to support the event, which aims to inspire students to bring meaningful change to their homes, schools, and communities.
