Niagara’s 2026 municipal candidates are being asked to weigh in on the issues shaping the region’s future.

The Niagara Business Alliance has launched surveys for registered mayoral and councillor candidates across Niagara’s 12 municipalities.

The surveys cover topics including property taxes and spending, housing, infrastructure, economic development, municipal services and regional cooperation.

Candidates will also be asked about the priorities they believe their municipalities should focus on over the next four years.

The Alliance says the goal is to give voters and the business community clear information about where candidates stand.

Responses will be made public before voting day, with candidates asked to submit their surveys by September 25th.
