Niagara has added 10 family physicians and connected more than 9,000 additional residents to primary care during the first six months of 2026, according to Ontario’s Ministry of Health.
Niagara Region says local recruitment efforts and collaboration with municipalities and healthcare partners are helping more residents find a family doctor.
The Connect to Care campaign, launched last year, is part of a broader effort to recruit family doctors and specialists and improve access to primary care across the region.
Residents looking for a family doctor can visit Niagara Region’s Find a Doctor webpage for information on doctors and clinics accepting patients.
