New West Lincoln Memorial Hospital officially open

The Ontario government has officially opened the new West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby, giving West Niagara residents improved access to high-quality, local health care.

The nearly $250-million facility is almost 80 per cent larger than the previous hospital and is the first in Ontario to feature all single-patient rooms.

The hospital provides expanded inpatient and outpatient services, including a 24/7 emergency department, surgical suites, maternal and newborn care, and advanced diagnostic imaging.

The project is part of the province’s larger plan to invest nearly $60 billion in more than 50 major hospital projects over the next decade, enhancing health-care capacity across Ontario.
