More Niagara children will get the chance to explore their creativity this summer thanks to new funding for the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre’s Healing Arts for Kids program.
The free summer art camp provides a safe and welcoming space for children who might not otherwise be able to attend camp.
Participants are nominated through local schools and community organizations and can take part in hands-on art activities at no cost.
The program received support from the Rotary Club of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Wise Guys Charity Fund, the Niagara Community Foundation and the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society.
Together, the funding will allow 47 children to attend camp for free, while additional funding will help purchase new studio equipment and supplies.
