Construction is officially underway on the new Grimsby GO Station.
The Ontario government says the project will help reduce congestion, cut travel times and expand GO Transit service in Niagara.
The station will feature a single platform, 220 parking spaces, a bus loop and dedicated pick-up and drop-off areas. The province says it’s using a new standardized design to help speed up construction and lower costs.
Officials say the project is part of a larger $14-billion investment to improve GO service across the region, including along the Lakeshore West line.
