A new landmark is about to rise over Fort Erie.
Niagara Region will hoist a new 56-metre-tall elevated water tank into place on Pettit Road in early July as part of a project to improve water service and support future growth.
The tank will replace aging water storage facilities and help maintain reliable water pressure for homes, businesses and fire protection.
The new system is expected to be fully operational by July of next year.
