Nearly $60,000 in drugs seized after trafficking arrest

A man in Niagara Falls was arrested last night for drug trafficking.

After starting an investigation last month, a man was observed trafficking illegal substances in Niagara Falls Tuesday night and arrested by police at a business on Lundy's Lane. 

Detectives then got a warrant to search his home where officers seized:

  • 84.6 grams suspected Fentanyl, street value of $15,228
  • 243.1 grams suspected crystal methamphetamine, street value of $24,310
  • 32.8 grams suspected cocaine, street value of $3,280
  • 1123 tablets of hydromorphone, street value of $16,845
  • $14,162.30 Canadian Currency
  • $138 US Currency

44-year-old Jay MacDougall of Niagara Falls is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking (Hydromorphone)
  • Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Orders.
