NAV CANADA is celebrating 35 years of service at the Niagara District Airport.

Flight service specialists based in St. Catharines play a key role in keeping Canada's skies safe, providing pilots with weather briefings, processing flight plans, monitoring aircraft and coordinating search efforts for overdue flights.

The milestone was marked over the weekend as NAV CANADA staff, airport officials and community partners gathered to celebrate 35 years of service at the airport.
