The latest commercial vehicle safety blitz in Niagara has been completed, with just over half failing inspection.
Conducted at the Vineland MTO Inspection Station on the QEW in Lincoln, the one-day roadside campaign saw the Ministry of Transportation, alonside support from Niagara Region and Ontario police officers, conducting provincial safety checks on commercial trucks and trailers.
In all, 23 of 44 vehicles inspected were placed out of service with 64 total charges laid.
