Jeff Burch is calling on the Ontario government to give the green light to Hotel Dieu Shaver’s planned hospital expansion.
The Niagara Centre MPP says approving the facility’s functional program would allow the project to move to its next phase and help meet growing demand for rehabilitation and complex care.
The proposed facility would replace the current inpatient building with a new hospital three times its size, featuring 190 beds, expanded therapy space and improved infection control.
Burch says the project would help ensure Niagara’s health-care system can meet the needs of an aging population, both now and in the years ahead.
