Niagara Centre MPP Jeff Burch says he has delivered thousands more petitions to Queen’s Park calling for the restoration of urgent care in Port Colborne and Fort Erie.
He noted the communities have been without after-hours services for 866 days and still lack answers on when full care will return.
The petitions also call for improved diagnostic testing, medical imaging, and the retention of complex care beds.
Port Colborne Health Coalition Co-Chair Barbara Butters says residents have put forward clear recommendations to restore 24-hour urgent care and diagnostic services, arguing that rebuilding local capacity would ease pressure on other Niagara health centres.
