Man charged after calls to police about drug activity in Niagara Falls

Police say drug-related charges have been pressed against a Niagara Falls man after active patrol.

Officials say complaints came in about frequent drug activity in the area of Main Street and Ferry Street. At approximately 11:30 a.m., officers observed three individuals behind a commercial building in the parking lot of a retirement home exhibiting behaviour consistent with drug trafficking and consumption. Upon investigation, one male was arrested.

21-year-old Lucas Orcutt has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, while over $8000 worth of fentanyl and $710 cash were seized by police.
