Man arrested in connection to public animal remains being displayed

Niagara Regional Police have made an arrest after animal remains were found in public places along Welland Avenue in St. Catharines.

Police say officers responded to multiple reports on March 3 and later reviewed surveillance footage showing a man removing animal remains from a bag and placing them in public areas before leaving on foot.

Investigators determined the remains were from various wild animals.

After releasing an image of the suspect, detectives arrested 45-year-old Christopher Parrent on March 4.

He is charged with publicly exhibiting a disgusting object and indecent exhibition.
