Main rail line operations 'partially restored' after CN derailment in St. Catharines

Main rail line operations in St. Catharines have been partially restored after a derailment earlier this week.

CN rail gave the update this afternoon, after a derailment on Monday that resulted in the line being closed to other trains, both freight and passenger.

A representative from CN says ongoing cleanup and repair work is being done on the south track.

GO Trains are not servicing St. Catharines or Niagara Falls stops as of Wednesday afternoon, with bus service from the  Niagara Falls Bus Terminal and St. Catharines Fairview Mall before arriving at Burlington GO.
