A 43-year-old Kingston woman is dead following a three-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Whitby, and a Lincoln man is facing charges.
OPP say the collision happened Sunday just after 7:00pm, in the westbound lanes near Thickson Road.
Two of the vehicles caught fire, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
20-year-old Jaxon Christie of Lincoln is in custody, charged with dangerous driving causing death and impaired driving causing death.
The highway was closed for several hours during the investigation.
